Michael Nicotera is Business Manager for Team Furniture. He is originally from Racine, Wisconsin and a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee where he received an B.A. (honors) in English literature with a minor in Chemistry.
Mike has been in the home furnishings business most of his life. He started his career as Carpet & Rug buyer at Gimbel Brothers in Milwaukee advancing to DMM of Furniture and Electronics. He later served as Vice President of Merchandising for both Macy’s and Big Lots. Mike was a founding partner of Spectra Home, LLC and later was Vice President of Carl’s Furniture, Merchandise Manager of Case Goods at Kane’s Furniture, and Merchandiser at Baer’s Furniture. Mike teases that his career tells the tale of the department store business as he started at Gimbels and gets a pension from Macy’s!
In addition to the furniture and home businesses, Mike is a Broker Associate in real estate. Mike lives in Oakland Park, Florida.
