My career started in NYC in 1977, after I graduated from the Newark School of Fine & Industrial Art with a major in Textile Design. I have a passion for color and design, this field allowed me to explore my creativity. Printed fabrics was my specialty.
First working in menswear design in the NY garment district for Smith Hill and then finding my love for Home Furnishings with Malden Mills, a very large apparel and home furnishings firm. There, I started out as a full time designer and advanced to Design Director for their home furnishings division. I remained at Malden Mills, heading the design department for the print and woven/knitted velvet divisions for the next 10 years.
A new opportunity arose for me in North Carolina with Culp Inc., also in the print and velvet divisions as their Design Director. The idea of moving south intrigued me and the opportunity was a very good one. I worked for Culp for the next 15 years, where I attended trade shows both home & abroad, & presented our latest fabric collections to Upholstery company buyers. My fabric career let me to discover my passion for sales, and how much I enjoy working directly with customers.
My husband Mickey & I decided to leave NC in 2005 and move to Florida where we started working as independent furniture sales reps and incorporated in 2010 with our current company Furniture Services Group, Inc.
With both of our combined career experiences, we decided to focus our sales efforts in the higher end contemporary retail and designer market.
We joined Team Furniture in 2016 and are proud to represent our fine furniture partners and experienced group of sales representatives.
